Table in travertine and brass

An intersection of materials and shapes. Two independent pieces of travertine cutting a brass plate and going above its mirror-polished surface. A brass circle polished like a mirror on both sides-to reflect the travertine to infinite. A contrast between shapes and materials, solids and voids. A contrast between shapes and materials, solids and voids. Three free in space shapes holding each other in perfect balance.
A functional sculpture.
